Octopus Guard is a very unique system developed by Eduardo Telles. In this lesson plan, we will take a look at both top/bottom positioning. I believe that Octopus Guard is one of those lessons that, if you don't have an understanding of both top and bottom orientation, it will be very difficult for students to understand the common concepts behind the guard. Hopefully, with this lesson plan, you will notice the common themes of what make it such a powerful guard for both top and bottom players.
